He did his MS in General Surgery from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. He worked as a Senior Resident in the same institute. He did his Mch in GI Surgery and Liver Transplantation from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi gaining enough experience in hepatobiliary pancreatic surgeries, GI surgeries, and liver transplant surgeries. Then he did his fellowship in liver transplant surgery at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. He then joined as a consultant in the department of liver transplant and hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery, at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital, New Delhi. His area of interest are donor hepatectomy, recipient surgery, and hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery.
