Post Kidney Transplantation

The new kidney is placed in your body and your own kidneys are left in place if they are not causing any problem, otherwise, they are removed. As soon as your body gets a new kidney, it starts making urine and in some cases, it takes time of a few days.

Till then you are closely monitored by the doctors and nurses. After getting discharged from the hospital, you have to visit for a few times more to get the regular check-ups done. You have to be on a life-long medication called immunosuppressants to prevent your immune system from attacking your new kidney.
